How We Work
A Clear 6-Step Project Process
Use the survey, written scope and handover record to keep preparation, finishes, access and responsibilities clear from first consultation to completion.
How we work
From Survey to Handover
Initial Scope Review
Provide the property, surfaces, access, occupancy and finish requirements. The next step should confirm whether the available evidence is enough or a site survey is needed.
Survey & Detailed Quote
Where a survey is needed, record the condition and measured scope. The proposal should identify the contracting entity, included work, preparation, materials, price, programme, assumptions and exclusions.
Colour & Finish Specification
Agree the manufacturer, product, sheen and colour for each substrate. If samples, test patches or colour matching are required, record who provides and approves them before materials are ordered.
Agreed Preparation
Complete only the protection, cleaning, repairs, sanding and priming stated in the accepted specification. Responsibilities for furniture, valuables, access and waste should be agreed before the start date.
Specified Application
Apply the agreed coating or wallcovering system using the stated method, number of coats, recoat conditions and manufacturer instructions for the substrate.
Final Inspection & Handover
Walk through the completed scope, record outstanding items and agree responsibility for waste, care information and any project-specific aftercare documents.
What to Expect
What Sets the Programme
A duration should follow the measured scope and survey evidence, not a generic property label.
Measured scope
DefinedRoom count, surface area, joinery, ceilings, specialist details and the accepted number of coats all affect labour and sequence.
Surface condition
SurveyedRepairs, drying, unstable coatings, damp investigation and previous wallcoverings can materially change preparation time.
Access & occupancy
PlannedBuilding hours, room sequencing, scaffold or lift access, neighbours and other trades should be built into the written programme.
Drying & weather
Allowed forRecoat intervals, substrate moisture, temperature and exterior weather windows can affect when the next stage may begin.
The accepted proposal should state the expected duration and any assumptions that can change it.
Process Questions & Answers
It depends on the property, scope and evidence already supplied. Confirm whether the review is by phone, video or site survey and agree its expected duration and any separate cost before booking.
No fixed delivery time is promised on this page. Timing depends on whether measurements, access quotes, product information or specialist input are outstanding and should be confirmed after the required information is known.
The accepted proposal should state who moves and protects each item. Remove fragile, valuable or personal items before work starts unless a different written arrangement has been agreed.
That depends on room access, ventilation, products, occupants and the work involved. Agree the sequence, isolation, daily handover and any product restrictions before deciding whether the property can remain occupied.
Record outstanding items during the final walkthrough and agree the snagging action in writing. Any concern raised after completion is assessed under the project-specific terms in the accepted quotation or contract.
Colour matching, sample approval and heritage constraints can be included in the scope where required. The owner should confirm any consent or estate requirement, and the accepted proposal should identify the reference colour, product and approval evidence.
The written programme should identify working hours, room sequence, access, protection, noisy tasks, ventilation, waste and daily handover. Confirm any building-management requirements before appointment.
