Project-by-Project Evidence
Environmental Specification Questions
Environmental preferences should become named products, responsibilities and evidence in the written scope—not unsupported company-wide claims.
Confirm the requirement before products are ordered
Terms such as natural, low-VOC, recyclable and sustainable can refer to different evidence. The proposal should name the required product, source document, threshold or disposal route so that the requirement can be checked.
This page does not claim a company-wide carbon target, recycling partnership, waste volume, transport practice or product certification. Any commitment for a particular project should appear in the written quote or specification with the evidence needed at handover.
Product requirements
- Which manufacturer product and current technical sheet apply?
- Is a VOC, ingredient, emissions or certification threshold required?
- Does the substrate need a breathable or otherwise specialist coating system?
Waste and packaging
- Who owns surplus product and how should it be stored or returned?
- Which waste carrier, facility or take-back route will be used?
- What transfer notes or other handover evidence must be retained?
Delivery and travel
- Can deliveries be consolidated within the site programme?
- Are access, low-emission-zone or loading requirements known?
- Is project-specific transport reporting required by the client?
Check manufacturer information
Product formulations and claims can change. Use the current manufacturer technical sheet, safety data and published environmental information for the exact product—not a general description copied from an older brochure.
